Hillel House in Cardiff serves the Universities of Cardiff and Glamorgan. It is in the heart of Cardiff’s Student Land and is within a 5-1o minute walk from the main Universities and Libraries, surrounded by a full range of shopping facilities. There is roadside parking and it is well sited for public transport; on a bus-route and near to the local train station.

Cyncoed Garden's Orthodox Synagogue is only a 20-minute walk away

The house consists of four large single rooms with en-suite shower facilities. Each room has it’s own wash-hand basin and kitchen area with additional sink. Neither cutlery nor crockery is provided, but each room has its own fridge and microwave.  There is also the use of a washing machine and communal freezer.

Hillel House has recently been re-furbished and the house enjoys a high standard of fixtures and fittings.  There is a communal lounge for the use of all residents and their guests, which has a Colour TV, Video and Cable connection.

The centre of all Jewish Student activity in Cardiff is at Hillel House.  The communal lounge and dining area is regularly used as a meeting place for the Jewish Society and J Soc Friday Night Dinners are prepared in the communal kosher kitchen by it’s members.

The rent is reviewed on an annual basis and is currently ~£510 per term ( 2004-5) and this figure includes        accommodation, heating and lighting. There is no resident warden but the Hillel committee is readily available at all times.
