IMPORTANT REQUEST FROM THE
CHEVRA KADISHA
Dear Friends,
As Chairman of the Chevra Kaddishah, the Holy Brotherhood, it has been
my sad duty to oversee the proper preparation and burial of those
gentlemen whom we have lost from the community during this past year.
There is, likewise, a dedicated group of women who perform the same
mitzvah for those ladies who have passed away. We need new members to
join us and assist in this task of paying last respects and ensuring
proper spiritual and physical preparation to those who have passed away.
If you feel you could help in this work, please contact myself or Rabbi
Wollenberg privately, and we can speak with you and give you more
information. Whilst writing, may I give my personal thanks to all those
who have been involved in this work in the last year. Those who sew the
shrouds, maintain the cemeteries, organise funerals and are involved in one way or another
with our work.
